1. Fort Frye-champs until proven otherwise but lost all of their scoring with Anderson and the Pritchard kid graduating.
2. Shenandoah/Caldwell-zeps return all but the fogle kid and should get better. Caldwell lost two role players but should have the best back court in the league with hupp and Jennings. Both of these teams have strong incoming freshman classes and Caldwell is within a year of the first lori boy hitting high school.
4. Monroe-lost duffy but return the others, probably about the same.
5. Frontier-will play several freshmen if I had to guess.

Monroe's talent level has dropped in the last 3 years. They had a very long run of superior talent at Woodsfield and Monroe Central. They are like all other teams in public schools, you win with talent. Coaches can keep games close by their style of play, but in the end the best players win most games.

Just an opinion, I hope the league is competitive so I have a reason to go to games. I went the year after my son graduated because the team was still really good but I only went to a handful of Caldwell games last year, they weren't very good and only won like 9 or 10 games. I guess I'm a fair weather fan haha. I really think Shenandoah has the most back and is the most talented team followed by fort and Caldwell but I'd still pick fort to win it

Ran in to coach at the Eagles the other night, asked him how scrimmages were going. He told me Caldwell is inconsistent and he wasn't sure what he was getting from day to day. Said they played well in scrimmages with UL, John Glenn and West Muskingum but didn't play well against Bellaire and Crooksville. I'll have to catch a few early games to see for myself.
