Oak Hill is so disciplined but lack depth. The thing with Oak Hill, if Carroll x2 and Hale are hitting from the outside, they can score quickly.

Oak Hill guards are much better than River Valley skill wise. RV may be a bit more athletic though. Not sure Oak Hill has a player that matches up with Dovenbarger by size, speed, skill. If RV can limit turnovers and get a hand in the Carroll boys faces they can make this a game. I see Dovenbarger having a big game and doing all he can to keep them in it but Norm will be too much.

RV loses 39-33......so proud of how this team and my son finished their season....when you play with max effort and as a team.....the result does not matter......as long as it was your BEST effort.....and I feel that the RV community showed their best effort in our last two games....that includes players, coaches, parents and fans......just happy for our community

what do you think was the biggest change? To me the focus on using the big boy down low was something I was looking for you guys to do more this season. Seemed like it was good in the tourney. How can RV use this momentum as they enter next year?

RV made 40+ post entries in the tourney games......and vs Alex it paid off....vs Oak Hill our bigs just didn't finish.....I know it was the right way to use the line up......and it should have been our style all year.....but.....it also may have been the coaches plan all along to gain a slight advantage for the one and done games......that being said

RV loses its size for next year and will play a different style next year...imo......in high school sports its hard to get players to fit a system each year....so you better make the system fit the players each year and allow for some flexibility...again....imo

I look for RV to be competitive at the start of next year and be deep at the guard position......searching the halls for a big!!
