The Shriners in the Athens area have put on their TVC Preview at Athens High School … is this event happening this year ? with the season starting a week earlier than usual has this shutdown the Shriners event this season ? if it is still on, when ?

… thanks ShoeHorn … 93dog … I know that most of the teams don't show much during the preview BUT I enjoy running into 93dog , the coaches other fans in the preseason … PLUS I get the all important roster sheets for each of these teams !!! … it doesn't seem like a big deal but the more I travel in Southern/Southeastern Ohio to watch games - money crunches on school sports has had many many schools NOT doing game programs - makes it hard to do "napkin stats" for games without knowing the lineups LOL … I usually don't have a major problem as I don't mind walking up to the scorer tables to get the team lineups before games but it makes things harder …

Bad time for the preview. Just announced Ohio St./Mich. St. 3:30 start time. Someone in charge needs to look into moving this to Friday. The Shriners deserve good attendance and a lot of people will not miss the Buckeyes for this great event. Also teams and coaches would probably like to see this game also.

That is when the crowds were at its peak.

I only went to the last 3 games. I don't remember exact but Athens and Alexander won their game 40-18. Vinton beat Trimble 29-20.

I know it is hard to tell what teams have in previews, but it is impressive that Trimble and Belpre competed with Vinton County and Wellston. That shows they will be tough in the Hocking division this season.
