I look for the league to be pretty balanced with the exception of West Union and maybe another small division team, scrimmages should tell us a lot.

SHACFan ... are we still looking at Lynchburg Clay being a very competitive team this season ? I looked at what they have returning Joe Giordano, River Mullins,Eric McGlaughlin as a really good nucleus coming back.

Yes, I again like the Mustangs to win the league, and make a deep tournament run. I think Lynchburg will be very good again.

The SHAC will be interesting this year and of all years this year, you need to be on it every night. LC and Peebles will have 6 of the top 10 players in the league this year with Giordano, Mullins, McLaughlin, Arey, Parret and Gordley. You can never count out Eastern Brown with Beucler. The small school sticks out more than anything. Fairfield returns a couple starters but Putnam will leave a huge scoring hole, North Adams has the most dynamic guard in the league and Manchester has a new HC in Joey Darnell with good guard play to contest. Good luck all teams in the SHAC!

Whiteoak coached by Jeremy McGraw has some gritty and talented players but are look g to get over the hump. Their entire rotation will probably be all juniors sophomores and a freshman.

5'10 shooting guard Chase Carraher (Jr)
5'8 PG Michael Crowe (Jr)
6'0 small forward Trever Yeager (Jr)
6'0 Charley Skinner (Jr)
6'2 Forward/C Stephen Ross (Jr)

Others I imagine will contribute a good bit:

5'11 guard Traeton Hamilton (So)
6'0 forward Evan Brill (So)
6'0 Zach Rand (So)
6'1 shooting guard Atlee Carr (So)
5'10 shooting guard Hunter Ruckel (Fr)

Carraher kid is a streaky shooter! I can see whiteoak competing night in/out! Having this young of a team will help for the future, no doubt.

He is the 3rd and youngest of the Carraher brothers...all could really shoot.

I heard Whiteoak starters struggled to score in a scrimmage vs Blanchester

Blanchester is typically a physical ball club, coming off a successful football season as well.
Boys preview is November 25th at Lynchburg-Clay $5 Adm
5 p.m. West Union vs North Adams
6 p.m. Peebles vs Fayetteville
7 p.m. Ripley vs Whiteoak
8 p.m. Eastern vs Manchester
9 p.m. The Host Lynchburg Clay vs Fairfield
Just for fun, I'll take NA, Peebles, Ripley, Manchester and LC!

Sounded like Whiteoak won about every other quarter in a scrimmage at New Boston.

Last night was the preview and I was almost correct on picks. First game NA vs WU, NA's guard play took control of the game and they made a lot of 3s. WU played extremely hard. Peebles in the next game dominated Fayettevill as Peebles had many layups. Arey and Gordley did their thing. Ripley and Whiteoak played to a tie, Whiteoak looked to have some athletic/sized players but still strugggled. Manchester came out firing on all cylinders as they are long and athletic and get hands on the ball on D but once coach Beucler and the Eastern Warriors began pressing the come back was on and Eastern pulled out the win. LC has size and McLaughlin was easily able to create his own shot vs Fairfield. Giordano had a good outing as well. The mustangs were fast, Fairfield had some surprises as players who didn't exactly start a lot lead them in scoring.
