FINAL Jackson 73 Logan 60

Post by Ironman92 »

Jackson jumped out to a 43-17 lead at the half behind 18 1st half points from Dylan Newsome.....and never really looked back in defeating Logan.

Newsome had 22 pts and probably 10-12 rb

Andrew Brown scored 17 including 5 3's in only about 2 qtrs

Morgan Dobbins had 11 in just about 2 qtrs including 3 3's

For the game I believe Jackson had 14 3's and 4,379 steals (roughly)

Logan made a nice run in the 2nd half and scored several to end the game to make it respectable.

Nice job by the Ironmen. 43-17 at the half is quite impressive.

With wins over Meigs and Logan, it appears that the Ironmen are getting things back together after the loss to GAHS.

6-4 at the midway point of the season looks good to me. Gonna be tough down the stretch though, with 7 of the last 10 games on the road.

I may have missed it on here sometime, but when are the make-up dates for the Warren and Marietta games?

I see the Ironmen somehow won another game, Was the coach dedicated enough to show up? or was he out hitting the links with the nice weather we are having.

Nickle Back, I understand the frustration with the coaching dedication, but I don't understand you surprise in the win for the boys. Especially when they shoot the ball the way they did against Logan. They have good perimeter shooters, an undersized 4 man in newsome that plays like he is 6'5" and nice rebounding post player that changes shots in the middle. With a combination like that, they are going to be competitive night in and night out if the 3's are falling. If they are not, then they will get beat like they did against Gallipolis. They are a lot of fun to watch, they play hard and I'm not at all surprised when they win. Good luck boys and have fun!!

Who do you think makes them bust their ass? I am being completely sarcastic about the coach and his dedication. You people are unreal, yes I am suprised they are actually winning against some of the teams they have beaten this year and been competitive in many others. They must have been dedicated in the off season and worked hard all summer. I will try to check them out when the they visti the Cavs later this season. Sounds like they are an exciting team to watch. Good luck to the Ironmen the rest of the way.

Your not, I couldn't tell who was serious or not. It seems to me like the program is starting to improve and people are ready to get rid of the coach because he missed or cancelled practice for a day of hunting, or a mistake on a pupil activity certificate. Being serious now, I would be suprised if he returns next season, by his choice of course, but that is just my gut feeling. Maybe they can continue to improve and finish around 500
