Fairfield Union OYB from last weekend

The high school division of the OYB at Fairfield Union was filled with 3 very talented teams among the field. The Southern Ohio Flyers, Ohio Valley Predators, and Team Force were all there. Team Force (from Lancaster area) was the biggest of the 3 teams and defeated the Predators 68-65 in pool play on Saturday. The Flyers went undefeated and earned the #1 seed from their pool while Team Force earned the #1 seed from their pool. In Sunday's single elimination tournament, the Predators defeated an athletic team 92-70 in the quarterfinal round. The Predators then defeated the Flyers in a thrilling 86-83 overtime game in the semi final round. The Predators were led by the trio of Justin Anderson from Fort Frye, Tristan Bartoe of Vinton County, and Kyler Dennis from Warren. The trio combined for 74 points in the contest. The Flyers were led by Zimmerman of South Webster, Lotspeich of Wheelersburg, Turner from Notre Dame,and Gambill of Eastern Pike. This game probably had close to 20 3 pters between the two teams. Team Force won big in the semifinal round and met the Predators in the championship game, a rematch from pool play. The game was only a 2 point difference at the half, but the Predators slowly pulled away winning 75-66. Bartoe, Dennis, and Anderson combined for 65 points in this one. Team Force was led by the very talented #55 (who I think is from Lancaster high school).

The Predators have now played Southern Ohio twice, splitting the two games, losing by 2 and winning by 3.
The Predators have now played Team Force three times, winning by 3, losing by 3, and winning by 10.
All three teams are very talented with lots of shooters and athletes. Three very good teams to watch play if given the chance.
