Athens @ Logan 1/20

Post by Space Cowboy »

Gotta go with Logan at home. Athens seems to be slipping some since their good start. Logan by 20+

After a long couple of weeks of playing in TVC gyms that should be condemned, the Bulldogs are looking forward to playing in a first class facility.

... Athens is 2-4 in their last 6 outings ... beating Jackson and Wellston as their sole W's ... defense or lack of defense is an issue - the Bulldogs have given up anywhere from a low of 55 points vs Gallia Academy (a 60-55 win) to 95 points to West Muskingum (a 75-95 loss) ... I look for the Purple to keep the "win train" going this week - too much defensive pressure for Athens to handle ... even in an up and down game LHS has the horses to out run the Bulldogs imo ... the Chiefs will pick up their first 2 wins at Jim Myers' Gymnasium Tuesday (Athens) and Friday as Jackson comes to the Hocking River for their first and only visit of the season ... the Chiefs take care of the ball like they did vs Portsmouth (9 TOs) - let's say neither the Athens or Jackson games will be close ...

I have heard great things about the new facility. If it's nicer than Katie Smith Gymnasium, then it must be very special..Can't wait to televise from the new gym.

Pre-game coverage slated for 7:45.

Good luck to both squads!

Why, are they too pampered to handle anything in the real world?

What an ignorant post! I suppose Athens, Alex, VC, Meigs, and NY's gyms should be condemned?

I never realized that the Athens traveling show was so much "all that" that they are beneath playing in those venues.

Don't forget Belpre. Actually, he has a point there, Belpre's gym probably should be condemned.

Great new facilities. Nice to visit with old friends. Got the tour from Coach McKee. The Chiefs are physical and strong. Cory Butcher went down with a bad sprain early, hoping for the best for him.

I've been lookin for this game on Nelsonville cable all day and all they have is this teacher thing on. Will they be
showing it and the Nelsonville game today anytime? What happened when the two coaches got into a shouting match with each other?
