I've enjoyed reading Lou's articles since when I played soccer and we had a big rivalry with Alexander. That man knows how to get people excited for big events.

Lou and basketball:30 began in 2000 and even with a great history at Ohio University, he has singlehandedly elevated the experience into a 1st class event that has brought more excitement and pizzaz to this event than any other tournaments in the State, and through this became the "voice of the Bobcats". The man is a true treasure to the community of SE Ohio.

Sweet Lou does an amazing job pumping up the crowd and making the game fun for the players with nicknames, such as "The Torch" for Logan Elm's Tim Congrove. He is the voice of Southeast District basketball.

The Convo is a beautiful building to watch basketball in. The teams are well treated and its truly a community event when your school advances to districts and beyond. I've walked through the entrance way to the floor to cover games for 12 years, and it never gets old.

It is a HS hoops player's dream destination, they all want to play there and OU/Athens are good hosts.

The new look at the convo with all new seats is great, and it great they they added the hand rails going up the steps I've never seen anyone fall but have seen many people stumble and come close.....just makes the convo that much better to take in some hoops.
Plan on making a day of it Sunday!!
