Would love to hear some thoughts also. Don't know anything about Miami Trace except we have 2 common teams. We split with Lagan Elm and they beat them by 6 and the other being Unioto which we lost to pre injury to CC and they lost by 33 post injury.

From seeing both against Unioto, I give the slight edge to the Falcons. But, the final score against Unioto is a bit misleading, it was only a 10-12 point game until the 4th.

Neither team has an advantage on depth, I do think Woodside has a major advantage over any of the bigs that MT will throw out there. Tyree is 6'5 for MT, but is slim and likes to stay outside a bit more (where he is excellent). I think that FU will be able to run through their sets to get good looks. The Panthers will try to up the tempo a bit, the Pettifords and Pittser can fill it up if the pace gets moving.

I think FU would be very happy with an uptempo game. It's not how they play but they're very comfortable playing that way.

I feel FU is a better up tempo team myself. We can run with any team that we want and our offense seems to flow better when we run. Sounds like a good match up.

Just so everyone on this topic knows. .... in the other semi final game , those people are saying that VC or Unioto either one will beat these teams in final. They say that those 2 teams are best in district, so I guess FU and MT should just have fun with this game cause that's the end of the road!!!! Lol. :D

Which is super fun, especially since MT beat VC at VC a couple of weeks back.

And even more so, none of those people are Unioto posters.

Yeah, that's pretty funny.

I don't really get into the whole like, well we shouldn't even show up thing though. People say that all the time and its silly. ANYTHING can happen. I mean I'm pretty sure John Glenn is 20+ points better than anyone in the SE, but you just NEVER KNOW. Doesn't mean I don't think the winner of the SE should just not show up to regionals..

from here on out you have to play the best basketball possible, any team can beat anyone but if you start out slow it could be a long night. Every possesion counts. I think FU will advance because of the size that woodside brings inside, they have a 6'5 guy from what I hear but soft, Woodside will bang with you inside! FU usually has double figures from multiple players each game which is a plus, balanced scoring. I think if we get to unioto Coach will up his game with a game plan since we have seen them early in the regular season. He had a great gameplan against Meigs which threw a trapping zone at you. The boys executed the gameplan well that night. should be fun!!!

The key to FU winning will be their guard play. MT has way more athletic guards than FU and they will pressure them into making quick decisions. If they can't get the ball to Woodside, that will be a problem. If they handle the pressure and make it a half-court game, I like their chances a lot.

MT is very dangerous!!! I know the post for FU is solid but Trace is athletic and Pittser has them peaking at the right time. Be careful guys and glad counting them out so quick. Plus playing in that fish bowl down there plays havoc on shooters which could fair well for Trace

MT showed a really nice full court D with Tyree on top, using his length and their guards quickness really well. I think if they throw it in in spurts, it could be very effective tonight.

I will still take the Falcons and by 6, but I think this could be the best game of the weekend and possibly a preview of next year at the Convo as well.
