I think Alexander's experience and defense will expose Athens lack of a ball handler. If Griffin was playing it would be a different story, like it was in their first meeting. Athens has got to take better care of the ball and need a couple of their young guys to get hot. Alex by 17.

Why isn't the Thompson kid playing?

According to someone close to the family, he was out of town for a baseball opportunity.

The Spartans played well, but Athens was no where near full strength. Saltzman only played limited minutes. The seniors played most of the time for the boys from Albany. Seth Richardson started hitting shots early and Kyle Howard played his normal fast pace game.

Go Alex.

Nice job Spartans. Not having Z AND Griff made winning this game impossible for Athens.

Its time to turn your attention toward the post season, Sparty ... A match-up with Minford is looming. The Flacons knocked off Lucasville Valley last night (Pfloyd's #2 team) for the second time this season. They will be heading to Jackson with just 4 losses and co-champions of the SOC. Very tough game for Alexander, but I for one would really love to see this group of seniors make the Convo at least once during their careers!

Good luck.
