Here is the list of Oak Hill players that was given to me:
Adrian Hayes
Doug Hale
Jim Slone
Michael Hale
Johnny Harrison
Dan Brisker
Dusty Boggess
Josh Davis
Kyle Ondera
J.D. Hale
Landon Carroll
Michell Hale now
Mason Darby

Someone posted earlier that John Williams also scored over 1000 pts, he may have but I wasn't given that name. It was also mentioned that Ryan Borden may have scored over 1000 pts. I was told that he was just a little short.
What about Jon's twin brother Tim Williams? Graduated with them...always thought one of them hit the 1,000 plateau with the other just short.
I did go to the Oak Hill-Minford game tonight, mainly because I wanted to read the banner, and write the names down myself. It doesn't give the point total, but it did have 13 players listed. The players listed above are the same names that were on the banner now. I guess there could be a mistake on the names listed, but that's what the banner says.
Thanks for checking

I know his sister's name was on the girls banner. I never saw him play, but have heard he was a very good player. I know the other names that have been posted earlier, Borden, Lewis, Williams, and Simpson. I suppose there is always the chance that a mistake has been made, but I tried to be careful and write all the names down that were listed.

Provably have to sit down and talk to. Harold "Buzz" Fisher...he might be able to get some stats for you.

I know Jaime missed her junior season with injury....maybe her brother missed too?

It was harder to get to 1,000 before the 3 point line or when there only 18 games in a season.

How far back were the 18 game seasons? 3 point line about 1985?

I'm pretty sure in '77 we had an 18 game season...could be wrong. I did the video for home games from time to time up in the crow's nest....lol

Hopefully someone from Oak Hill could get with Buzz Fisher. He did all the write ups for the newspaper. Just a thought....

That's a very good idea! I did that last night before the game started, I mentioned some of the names that were not on the banner, he wasn't sure himself.

I'm not sure how I got myself involved in this Thread concerning Oak Hill, other than just giving my thoughts as to who I thought would be on the list.I know there are plenty of people around Oak Hill that would know a lot more about the situation than myself. To begin with a friend of mine who goes to most of OH's games had texted me, giving me the names on the banner. When other people were mentioning other names that were not on the banner, I decided to go to the game last night to look at the banner myself. Today I called a couple people to get there thoughts on the situation. I'm not saying that a mistake happened for sure, but I do think that its mayby being looked into. I know some people are probably getting tired of me posting about this, but if a mistake did happen, it would be better to correct it sooner than later.

Buzz would definitely be the man to go to about this list. If I am not mistaken, he's done every game or been to every game since the mid 70''s for basketball. Just a well worth of knowledge. I know that he's been broadcasting football games since the 1972 season.

No worries man. Thanks

The write up under Beth Howe’s retired jersey outside of JHS gym is incorrect so I know mistakes happen...but also I’m not saying OH is incorrect

I have a correction. Tanner Arey ended his career at 1470 instead of 1484 for Peebles.

Legend has it Mike Rose of South Webster was the goat before the three point line back in the 60's. Mike is Shane and Trey Zimmermans Grandpa.

Otherwise
Kayla Cook and Nick Aldridge both finished with over 2000 pts

I worked with Mike for years and he's the real deal and he was a stud in the late sixties when the tri county league was in existence. Loved the league and the games played back then.( Pre three point shot.)

My dad played with Mike back then and he said if the 3point line had been around his stats would’ve been crazy.

No it was 1987-1988 season. The year Portsmouth made the run and Wheelersburg went 20-0 and lost in the Regional Finals.

I grad in 86 and it definitely wasn’t in play

The year after was the last year without it.

And also I googled it. So there’s that
