Valley doesn't get a shot off...and Minford wins.

Congrats to the Falcons and coming in to Valley and taking a piece of the SOC title with them.

Great game by ALL Falcons. Rowe, Alley, Kelley, Dalton, Gullett, Shepherd, and McCormick played great games. Congrats to the Co SOC Champs!

I have seen Valley several times and they run no offense.
Valley had some very good athletes which can create, but that does not always work against good teams.
I think they could be in trouble in their tournament game.

Congratulations to Minford the co-SOC champs but since I'm looking at head to head I would say Minford is the best team in the SOC 2! Minford players stepped it up a notch all right. They played with passion, poise and heart. Best game by J. Alley by far. Kelley was on fire, Rowe went off in the 4th and Dalton played like an upper classman. Gullett buried some needed 3s at key times and everyone else played key roles tonight. Valley played great team ball and gave Minford all they wanted but the key to Minford victory was how everyone in the game for Minford contributed where as Valley was hurting Minford with Rolfe and Howard the most. Good luck to both in the tournament!

[quote="White Horse"]Minford is going to have to play on a different level than they did against Burg,Oak Hill and Webster if they think they will compete tonight. Minford played a good game first time these 2 teams meet and Valley couldn't hit the ocean that night and Minford only came away at home with a 2 point win. And for the record Rolfe is imo is the best player in county ...!!![/quote

I think the Falcons rose to the ocassion. And for the undisputed record Minford did beat Valley twice this season. And that is not my opinion. It's a fact. Valley got beat twice by Minford

Of course they are the best team in the SOC II. They beat Valley both games in head to heads.

Congratulations to both schools on a share of the title and an exciting game.

Both schools exhibited teamwork and sportsmanship on the court tonight. The same couldnt be said about each school's fans.

Valley posters on this site support their team through wins and losses and are supportive of other teams, including rivals.

Anyone reading this site this week has had to read the garbage coming from minford posters.
They bash the coach.
They bash the pg rowe.
They bash rowe and kelley.
They bash a KID that just came back from surgery (IMO, whoever flock 92 is should be ashamed. The sad thing is that your son is most likely shepherds teammate. And you get on the internet and bash dillon shepherd. You were probably one of the fans that congratulated dillon after the game).
They bash the starters because parents with agendas cant stand to see their kid sit the bench.
They argue over who is the 3rd best player.

Calling out or bashing a coach is fair game. Calling out or bashing a player is ignorant. Minford fans Calling out or bashing their own players shows selfish stupidity.

Well said...I had a feeling all week that Minford would win this game and I'm an unbiased outside observer. That's the problem with society sometimes; we forget that these players are kids. They mess up, make mistakes, and won't always play their best; I wasn't there but I'm sure it was a great atmosphere. Again, thanks for the post it was spot on.

OK let's iron this out a little bit. Yes I feel that we have been out coached in a couple of games. Yes I do think that Rowe and Kelley are great players. Yes I do admit that other posters on here were catapulting Shepherd to a position on the team that hasn't been earned. Yes Shepherd had a great year last year. Yes shepherd is a good player. Yes I did state who I thought was the 3rd best player on the team because another poster had overlooked a player imo. Does any of that mean I have a kid on the team or that I just have watched Minford basketball for the last several years? Yes we are just talking about kids and they will make mistakes and have good/bad games and most will never play the game beyond these high school years.
