The OCC is going to six team divisions next year, which means now more schools have open slots. That should help Logan.

I realize this may end up being a moot point, but here are a few schools I think Logan should look at scheduling in the future instead of Amanda:

Johnstown
Grandview Heights
Fairfield Christian


Not that those schools are always chocked full of high-end talent, but they are always well-coached and play a good game of basketball in terms of execution and style. They employ diversity in the styles of offense and defense they'll throw at you. You don't necessarily need to play all D1's or D2's to prepare yourself for the D1 tourney, some good small schools can do just the trick!

Nothing at all against AC, they're just not a basketball school. And they weren't very tall either.

Better than a d-4 team!

Good to get a must needed win,but still alot of work to be done on Offense . AC started out in a weak zone and then to a slow to the ball man. The purple gang will continue to improve . Go Chiefs !!!!!!

Big week for Logan this week. Host Bloom-Carroll on Monday. They open SEOAL play at Jackson on Friday. Then have a rematch at Vinton County on Saturday.

The Purple have a chance to move UP the rankings this week Bloom Carroll & Vinton County with Jackson sandwiched in between ... one game at a time though ... BC has always had our number so tomorrow will be a BIG start ...

Tonight will be a good test for for the purple gang. If the defense can keep opponents in the 40 or 50's the chiefs will be right there at the end . Go Chiefs !!!!!!

I like the defense ..........I know a loss is a loss but I like to see it as we are in the game when it is a close low scoring game.

Chiefs lost a close one again. As fans we still believe in the purple gang . They know the game . The new system that the new coach has put in is just plan and simple Basketball and they know it. The defense looks good . So the offense should start looking good also. IMO I see a big problem . Confidence in what you are doing . Now that is something that is hard to coach . Like Lee CORSO would not so fast my friend . That aspect of the game is an art that some coaches have trouble with . If a person in any position has the respect and confidence from their superiors they always seems to excel . That brings me to a troubling facebook remark . I could not and did not want to believe what was posted so I had to verify it. The new coach singled out players after the game and told them in front of the team that they '' Were Worthless or Worthless to the team ''. I was also told who he said this to and it could not IMO be farther from the truth. He also made a comment to one of the leaders of the team in a negative way. I' ve been around Logan sports for along time , I wore the purple and white and have never even in my professional job heard a superior say that. I've always said short comings are covered up by blaming someone else . As fans we want wins but above all we want these kids to become leader of tomorrow . Let's work on confidence . The talent has always been there. Maybe the system needs to be looked at and adjusted to the talent . The future is still bright .Coaching is teaching . The coaching moment is constructive criticisms during and after the game and is refined in practice . Maybe the coach was that upset. If so that's a problem . Like I said as fans we will still root for the purple gang .They play hard. They love the game , they spend hours trying to be the best they can . They deserve the same respect they give . I know all may not agree but that IMO . The comments from the coach should be reviewed or dealt with or discussed . I have had the up most respect of the new coach but now that is something that he will have to earn. Good luck to the purple gang !!!!!!!!!

When I was on the 9th grade team at Logan we had a coach that said some unpleasant things and even threw and hit players with the ball. We didn't ball baby about it we took it as a learning tool. Sort of funny when this team went under another coach later on it fell apart.

Time to run off another coach, lol.
