No wonder with 29 turnover! That is not basketball, that is how a team throws away a game!

I had Logan with 19 TOs and Lancaster with 21 TOs for the game ... Logan going over 5 minutes without scoring of any kind at the end of regulation was a major issue ... before Logan started the scoreless 5+ minute run - they had gained 5 point separation from the Gales ... a KEY word I would emphasize with the Purple is "PATIENCE" ... the Chiefs seemed to lose control of the positive moments in the game with hurried shots, hurriedly trying to make passes that didn't need to be made , "trying" to make things happen - PATIENCE ! when the Purple "creates an opposition TO" - they need take advantage of the miscue/make the opponent pay by "getting the BEST" look at the offensive end ... get YOUR shot - don't rush anything - get YOUR shot - make the opposition pay by putting points on the board ... "PATIENCE" at both ends of the floor ! when we were "PATIENT" offensively we got the back door cuts, Lane Little got into the paint "under control" ... LL when he penetrated he could get the ball into the hands of our inside people - and here is the key - good things happened WHEN. THEY. WERE. IN. POSITION. TO. DO. SOMETHING. POSITIVE. WITH. THE. BALL. - "PATIENCE" ... "PATIENCE" using the clock when you have the lead in a close game is a must - we didn't have that last night imo ...

... Positives to take from the game - Caiden Landis is getting better and better offensively down low ... Lane Little CAN score on anyone in the paint when he has set up his defender ... LL can shoot from the perimeter ... LL has to be smart distributing the ball - as he can beat anyone off the dribble , he has to MAKE SURE he has his bigs down low in places they can be effective when HE PENETRATES ... timing, making sure everyone is where they need to be on the floor before he beats his defender - not just the bigs, but the Bell Boy who IS an outside 3 point threat BUT ONLY when he is in position to take advantage of LL's penetration - that's when LL can be the "quarterback" he is - score, dish, or kick out ... end of observations on my part ...

... tough stretch coming up ! wow Coach Helber set up a major gauntlet for the Chiefs this season ... best of luck to my Purple - lots of potential out there for Logan - is their time to get everyone on the same page ? Good luck Chiefs !!!

Not sure where the 29 turnovers came from . The Local had 18 and that was 1 less than Lancaster's 19. That appears correct from being in the stands . Shot selection was a key in the loss not being tired IMO. Down the road if this is corrected they will be fine . Could there be more rotating out of the starters to keep them fresh , Yes . There is alot of talent waiting in the wings but it's up to the coaching staff to review the films and make adjustments if needed. As a fan of the Chiefs I'm going to continue to root for our purple gang. Hope everyone else does. Go Chiefs!!!!

I heard Coach Landis say "29 TOs" after the game - not sure where that came from either - it had me scratching my head when I added up the TOs for both sides on my napkins LOL ... lots a very good pieces to the Purple squad - during the time Logan wiped out the 10 pt lead that Lancaster had in the 2nd quarter - they looked good at both ends of the floor ... the youngsters - Landis/Bell will have to get looks for Logan to be successful , and get shots from places on the floor they can score - Landis gets his inside the paint ...Bell needs to be set up by the penetration of LL and the movement of the ball at the offensive end ... Coach Kellough said before the season started that he didn't expect things to jell until after Christmas ...

That's where I got the number 29 from, the post game on the radio. I agree with you pfloyd, the main thing is slowing down and getting in the position to make plays. This is a talented team, a lot of confidence in Coach K. Will definitely continue to root for the Chieftains.

That's what we noticed from the low seats. Too many hurried shots. Just need too slow down and work the defense for a good shot.

Logan travels to St Charles tonight for a big test vs the Cardinals. Much improved from last year, the gym is small and the students will have that place loud and rocking. Logan will have to play lights out. Another big game tomorrow vs Vinton County at home.

Play good hard nose defense and be patient and run the offense as designed . If that happens it should be a good game . St Charles is a very good team .Good luck Chiefs!!!!!!

The Chieftains dropped a tough game tonight at St. Charles, 64-33. St. Charles is a very very good team, and there is no reason for the Chiefs to hang their heads after this one. The Chieftains are now 2-3 on the season. Have another very tough game tomorrow night against Vinton County.
