D2 coaches aren’t nearly as guilty as D3 and D4...but every coach will be looking ahead at potential
Matchups and if putting 1 loss Unioto ahead of 3 loss Fairland for their potential benefit...some certainly will.

Say ZT for example thinks they are good to go to be the #3 seed and they also know the match up pretty well with Unioto....they could vote Unioto #1 and see them in district finals instead of Fairland. Say MT is in line for the #6 seed...they could think the same way. Sure that’s looking way ahead but you don’t think a former state champ coach looks for best route for advancement?

Coaches aren’t stupid. I’m not saying it will happen but it most certainly could happen. Fairland has no allegiance to vote with and hasn’t played any of these teams except Gallia....who by the way is in line for that 3 seed...and I guarantee they prefer not to be on same district champ bracket as Fairland...so they would could put Unioto at 1

You're exactly right I92

It's not about best team, or most deserving team, landing anywhere on the board.

The best argument!

Fairland would certainly be the favorite against Unioto, but I assume that you have watched them both multiple times so that you can make that blowout claim.

Fairland should be the 1, because of how difficult their schedule has been. If they lose another one before the draw, I would put Unioto above them, just because Fairland doesn't have much of a schedule left difficulty wise so it would be a bad loss.

1. Fairfield Union
2. Vinton County
3. Sheridan
4. Warren
5. Circleville
6. Logan Elm
7. Athens
8. New Lexington
9. Marietta
10. Westfall

A lot will change. Fairfield Union's 2 destructions of Bloom Carroll will probably keep them above Vinton County if they have the same record. Sheridan has a lot of time to prove their mettle.

I think VC is the 2nd best team but right now do you believe VC would get the 2 over Sheridan?

You're right, I think I mixed up my thoughts on it. Heck, right now Sheridan might get the 1 because of their record. Even though division 2 coaches are better about seeding than the other divisions in this area.

Yes and a couple more head to heads this week when Circleville and New Lex play Tuesday and Athens @ Logan Elm Saturday night is a big game could be the difference between who gets that 6 seed and not have a play in game.

Westfall is the 10th seed. Put Fairfield, Sheridan, Warren and VC and draw them out of a hat for 1-4 and do the same for 5-9 with Circleville, LE, New Lex, Athens and Marietta.

I think 6 is the ideal seed in the bottom half. Big Head to Head Saturday night when Athens travels to Logan Elm.

Yeah. Athens has 6 games they could win before the draw. Logan Elm, Jackson, NY, Wellston, River Valley, and Fed Hock. I’m surprised how well Sheridan is playing

Fed Hock is February 10th and is Senior Night. I doubt that game figures in, the draw will happen before then. Morgan is now scheduled for the last regular season game on February 17th. Alex at home on the 16th could have big TVC-Ohio implications after the upset over VC tonight.

Athens needs to keep the intensity up and stay hungry- the Braves could possibly be coming off 2 losses this week, once already to WCH on Tuesday and they Face FU Friday. Stiverson is sitting on 299 wins and they will be coming at the Bulldogs hard on Saturday to help him get his 300th

Glad they are still playing this game, but it is after the tournament draw. I'm sure FU wanted to play this one before the draw. Given the records of both teams. Strength of schedule should play a big part in seeding, but not sure how much it does.

Generals could be eyeing that No. 1 seed.

This thing could get interesting heading down the stretch ...

Logan Elm does not have the horses to play with Athens.
