Should be a interesting game, first time these two have played each other in a long long time, Hiland leads the short series 2-0, Hawks have played a very tough non-league schedule,a 10 point loss at Undefeated Mansfield St.Peters, probably a top ten team in D-4 when the polls come out next month,a 17 loss to Undefeated D-2 Mentor Lake Cath.probably another top ten team in D-2,then a 2 point loss to Strasburg in the opening game of the season, would like to play that game again now, won't see them till the district tour.then we've have had some blow outs to,35 pt.win over Claymont,39 pt.win over Buckeye Trail,57pt win over Newcomerstown ,how good are we who knows yet, find out more about my team this coming week in there holiday tournament, Fort Frye December 28, John Glenn December 29

Fort Frye is down from last season after losing 1000 scorer Justin Anderson. They seem to be getting better every game. I think this is a very tough game for the Cadets.

I know this is kinda off the subject here, but is it just Hiland or is this the norm for attendance at high School boys games anymore ever since we won back to back state titles, our attendance has fallen off the map, there was a time when we had a waiting list to get season tickets and now we can't even give them away, the last four or five seasons we have had major drop off,are we spolled by winning so much in the boys and girls programs and that is very sad, some teams have not even made it to the final four in boys or girls programs
In Ohio,in our small towns that make up Hiland High, there's hardly any signs anymore wishing them good luck come tournament time, our parade for the girls state tournament title last year wasn't much to talk about.to me this is kinda sad

My guess is spoilage. Once you've reached the pinnacle of your sport you can't go any higher. So all the excitement of going somewhere you've never been is gone.
You create a lot of excitement the first time you do something. The community gets interested and people attend games that wouldn't normally be there.
So maybe it's not spoilage, but more, been there, done that.

Most programs would love to have the issues you are talking about

Phone went dead on me
Finial Hiland 64 Fort Frye 25, I don't think Hiland is 40 pts better than Fort Frye, on this night they were ,on a neutral floor maybe 15 to 20pt difference

Yea Fort Frye is really a rebuild. I still think they win 12 and maybe get a home game.

I am not able to attend as many Fort Frye games these days as I used to. When I have been able to go, I see some good things and some opportunities for marked improvement. I hope a score like this against a top program will be a catalyst for growth.
