... pfloyd is on his way to OSU/The James Cancer hospital this morning ... I have my first CT scan/blood work since last January 21st - it was at that time that I was declared "N.E.D." (No Evidence of Disease) for the first time since my 2010 diagnosis of Stage 4 Melanoma ... I thank ALL of the SEOPs Nation over the longest 5 years of my life for the support I received "daily" on this sports forum ... I posted my experiences/thoughts/struggles/wins & losses on here ... I believe there were 2 threads over that time span each getting over 10,000 hits each ... as I've told so many when I see them because the seops nation who "battled" with me are just that way - they care - they always ask how I'm doing healthwise, my answer has always been during this season "I feel great" which I totally do ! ... I look at today as "game day" ... any player of any sport has game day "jitters" - a "good" nervousness an "edge" that tells you that you are ready, " let's tip it off" ! ... that's where I am ... a little "what if" anxiety before the game ... I had a number of messages last night from coaches/friends on seops wishing me well - THOSE are greatly appreciated ... "support" IS one of the biggest components of the equation for fighting, getting ahead in the fight against cancer - plus a positive outlook , a "will" to win & succeed ... luckily my DNA has never introduced the idea of "giving up" into my vocabulary whether it was when I was a player or as a teacher with my kids or now as a person who is fighting to stay ahead in the game vs cancer ... so today - if you have a second throw in a good word with the "head coach" for me ... let him know that pfloyd is still sitting here on the bench ready to play, he sees me everyday in practice - I may not be as talented as some players, but I work my butt off every day, I get TEAM involved & keep TEAM involved in the game of Life and I will never give up ... ask the Head Coach to keep giving pfloyd "playing time" ...

... an update ... Official "unofficial" Napkin Stats - pfloyd

CT scans today ... 2 ... Chest CT , abdominal CT
Chest CT .... results showed a small NEW nodule in the lower section of the left lung
Abdominal CT ... results will not be in for 2-3 more days ...
Blood Work ... Perfect !
Plan going forward ... Wait 8 weeks ... a new round of CT scans scheduled for March 13th ...

... it wasn't the results I was looking for BUT on the positive side the nodule is NEW ... it is small ... there is only one ... most people have nodules AND they are NOT cancerous ... obviously with my past history the CT scans in March are a no-brainer ... the scans are done to do what it did today - find new issues as early as possible ... I'm staying positive, we'll proceed from here , I'll wrap my mind around these results and whatever the abdominal scans indicate ... keeping my mind positive, focused on getting the "W" - heck no one said that life was easy ! life is valuable ! life is meant to be lived !! I will watch MORE hoops, I will live life to the fullest, I will make more moments into memories for everyone I contact ... #fcancer,#cancersucks,#livinglife, #nevergiveup
