On November 4, 1963, the Beatles played in front of the Queen at the Royal Command Variety Performance. The scene is immortalized in the Anthology video (The Beatles Anthology Collector's Set). Before playing their final number, John asked the audience for their help in the next number, and said, with a hesitant smirk: "The people in the cheaper seats, clap your hands... and if the rest of you would just rattle your jewelry." The camera pans to the Queen, who seems confused more than anything. The Beatles then launched into the raucous "Shout!". You can hear it on the Anthology CDs.

Sorry, not directly related to the Beatles.

George Harrison stole the effects peddle that supplies the rotary organ effect on the Cream song: Badge.

On February 23, 1964 (or was it February 9, 1964), Kantucky's mother and father told him and his two sisters that if they all had their baths before the show started that they could stay up and watch The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. Kantucky was 9 years old. He still remembers it to this day..

Before a Sept. 11, 1964, concert at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Fla., a local promoter reportedly said seating would be segregated by race. McCartney went on record saying the Beatles would never play to a segregated crowd. When the band arrived, they found a fully integrated audience.

July 31, 1966 - WAQY in Birmingham, Alabama asks listeners to burn Beatles records. Kantucky is on the way out the door to smash lil' sister's Beatles record...she catches him, tells mom..mom swarps Kantucky upside of head and is warned that he'd better act right or she's going to bring dad into it. Kantucky loses out on great op to torment sister...that's what big brothers do!

Oct. 26 2005: RRZ is wondering if kantucky's little sister still has those Beatle records. RRZ hears they are worth a bit of money. Mom and Dad knew what they were doing when they stopped lil kantucky from destroying those records. :-D

June 1967, Kantucky and two of his buddies are walking into the Suzy-Q Dairy Bar on the corner of 3rd and Spruce St, katy-corner from Southern Carryout and across the street from Baylof's Market and the orginal East End Hardware when two of Jimmy Joe Sheridan's little sisters ask us for a nickel. We are told that they're wanting to play Penny Lane on the Juke Box. Kantucky nor his buds were going to give up ice cream money to hear them Beatles. No nickles for pennies!

All True Stories by the way...none of the names have been changed as there are none innocent
