WHO IS THE CAREER SCORING LEADER IN ALL OF OHIO HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL?
WHAT HIGH SCHOOL DID THEY ATTEND?
WHAT WAS THEIR TOTAL POINTS SCORED?
TRIVIA OHIO HIGHSCHOOL BASKETBALL!
Re: TRIVIA OHIO HIGHSCHOOL BASKETBALL!
My 90+ yr-old uncle Willard Henry from Lees Creek, Wayne Township, Clinton County is not too far down on that list.
He made 31 baskets and scored 64 points in a game against Clarksville in 1930-31[?] which puts him pretty high up on the "single-game" scoring list.
#7 in fact - when I finally found the link. See below.
Oddly, he's not particularly proud of holding that record. He thinks it makes him look like a "show-off or hot-dog". His teammates knew what a great shooter he was, and conspired among themselves without his knowledge to feed him the ball all night just to see how many baskets he could make. 31!!!!!!!
He played college ball at Miami, OH in the mid 1930's.
I just went to the OHSAA website, and I can't find the "RECORDS" section - I know it used to be there.
I remember Jerry Lucas, Middletown HS then OSU being pretty high on the list along with John Havlicek. But I imagine LeBron James, ASVSM, surpassed them; and does OJ Mayo's record at NCH count since he graduated from Huntington WV HS.

AND THE ANSWER IS - for the BOYS - [I didn't look up the GIRLS yet]

BUT I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION - Why is this topic on the COLLEGE SPORTS FORUM?
