A little history...16 years ago TODAY, Hurricane Katrina made landfall. Damage was extreme.

Hurricane Ida is going to make landfall sometime around noon. New Orleans is in right front quadrant...again.

Please keep all the folks and first responders (Cajun Navy also) in your prayers.

There are 15 two man boat teams from here that are prepositioned at the MS/LA border. Our electric company has sent 30 teams to help put the power back on.

God Bless all those in harms way!!!

Ida made a little jog west before coming ashore around noon. New Orleans will not get a lot of 150 mph winds.

Still a lot damage in some parishes....power outages everywhere, roofs removed from homes. I haven't heard of any fatalities so far...Thank God!!

Levees that were built after Katrina are holding. Levees reinforced post Katrina are holding.

Check out the live feed from WWLTV if you want see for yourself. These folks do a fantastic job!!
