We both are looking at heart disease one of these days Bolt. The original kfc chicken I had the other day was greasy. Real greasy. Bet I ate a half cup of frying grease from it.   It was greasier than I've even seen from kfc before. It's greasy anyways but this stuff was loaded this time.

Oh God yes that KFC original is like drinking straight out of a grease bucket,if you go there better off getting the crispy or grilled. At least with my bacon I try to towel off as much grease as possible after it comes out of skillet, never going to get all of it but i'm not going to be a squirrel either and just eat nuts the rest of my life.

I tried that crispy, rather have the good tasting original heart killing kind.  Don't eat it all the time but that's what I'll get when eating KFC. Guess I'll take the chance of getting PAD.    Ole BJ got it and he ate like a bird, so it isn't always junk food that's dangerous is the way I look at it. :? Gonna eat it, exercise a bit and burn it off. That's one way to enjoy the junk/trash food. :)

Got one Bolt that's been around here since 2010. He has one white back leg and walks across the power lines to get where he's going to avoid the cats. Been watching him for awhile now. Very smart squirrel. He also waits till the cats are gone or sleeping and comes down and eats my bird seed and peanuts I have out for the blue jays. I seen where some has lived in captivity for almost 15 years on some sites. Wild ones has too many predators. Say most die in cold winters and starve if they have no food source. They eat nuts, berries, bark, apples, corn etc etc. I've seen this one that hangs around here eating a piece of bread I put out for the black birds. Funny, he was holding the whole piece of bread and spinning it chewing around the edges till it was gone. He must have been hungry that day. :) He shows up about every two days or so, usually in mid morning. 10ish am. He's smart, the cats that hang out are gone by then. He's got it figured. Ole Angus likes to watch him on her days off, she's the care taker and animal feeder around here. :)

Says in there average lifespan is 18 months, old one would be 4 years.Probably depends on what predators are around where they are at.We did have quite a few up here but don't notice as many now.I think the hawks have chowed down, they are always out there kawking screeching around like they got something.Cats have also snagged a few and brought them up on porch. It's a shame I like seeing squirrels out there running around. They only got one cat to worry about out there now,but there are still plenty of hawks circling around waiting for a meal.Unfortunately for the squirrels their meat is mighty tasty. My dad used to hunt them and it was my favorite, better than rabbit.

Yep, that average is the un-lucky ones. Out in rough environment/little food/predators. Yep, man is their other predator big time. Ole AA loves to squirrel hunt too and KB use to just use them as shotgun target practice just walking through the woods. Shoot them and let them lay. Sad. I gave him he(( about it when I was younger, and he looked at me and ask do you want to be next.   Ole Bighead had a black squirrel down there where he use to live. Had a picture of it but I lost it in the disappearance of all my pictures in my WLM. Don't know how all my mail come up missing like that Bolt. It's still a mystery.
