Re: INFORMATION ON LAKE WHITE.
I just saw a link on facebook about the algea bloom. on the lake white community facebook page. and it states the odnr is not doing any testing, not doing anything about it. and advising people basically to use the lake at their own discretion. even though they were taking pictures documenting the situation here. that's awful in my opinion.

Re: INFORMATION ON LAKE WHITE.
the lake use has grinded to a halt. as numerous people have gotten sick from being in the water. looks like it may be done for this year. unless you are just out boating. it's a serious algea bloom.

Gotta be something they can do to clear that stuff up a little. Let it go and it could be worse for next year. I read where Ponds and Lakes can be treated to rid most of it safely and it won't hurt fish or wildlife.

Re: INFORMATION ON LAKE WHITE.
they have a warning sign up at the ranger station/boat ramp. the odnr is working on getting numerous signs up in other potential launch sites. we are having some torrential rain right now. a bunch of fresh rainwater introduded into the lake will go a long way towards helping with the bloom. I just hope the odnr doesn't freak with the expected rainfall and dump a bunch of fresh needed rain water out the back. let the dam police itself.

Yet algeacide applied to a lake in South Carolina caused a massive fish kill:TRENCHFOOT wrote: ↑Fri Sep 07, 2018 8:58 am Gotta be something they can do to clear that stuff up a little. Re: INFORMATION ON LAKE WHITE.
VERY IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =========== I STRONGLY SUGGEST IF YOU LIVE ON LAKE WHITE. OR IF YOU HAVE A SUMMER PLACE HERE AND NOT CURRENTLY AT THE LAKE AND HAVE A BOAT OR HOUSE ON LAKE WHITE IN WAVERLY, OHIO. GO CHECK YOUR BOAT, CHECK YOUR BOAT DOCK, YOUR HOME. MAKE SURE THEY ARE STILL THERE. BECAUSE THE LAKE HAS FLOODED, I HAVE 6 INCHES OF WATER ON TOP OF MY DOCK. AND I HAVE HAD PEOPLE TELL ME THAT CARS ARE UNDER WATER, BOATS AND DOCKS ARE FLOATING AWAY. THE WATER IS UP TO 220 HERE AT MY HOUSE AND COMING OVER THE ROAD IN SPOTS. I HEARD BOATS AND DOCKS AND JET SKIS ARE BROKE LOOSE AND FLOATING TOWARDS THE DAM. I HAD TO MOVE EVERYTHING OFF MY DOCK. ---------------------- AND WE WON'T BE AT CHURCH EITHER BECAUSE THERE IS A MAJOR WATER LINE BREAK SOMEWHERE THE WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD IS OUT OF WATER.

Re: INFORMATION ON LAKE WHITE.
finally got the water back on @ 8;30 Monday night. glad to see that. I was having to bring up 5 gallon buckets of water in the gator to flush the terlets. that got ole real quick. ole dad is too old for that homesteader stuff. the pike county sheriffs department had to do 3 water rescues from people stranded in their homes by high water. so great job there officers.
