Let's take a moment to pray for and thank all those who are working today, to help keep us safe and comfortable as we enjoy the holiday and thank JESUS for making it all possible!
My oldest son, Alan, a Huntington fireman, is working today. So are quite a few other firemen.
Let us remember all other emergency and other essential-services personnel working today...paramedics...cops...dispatchers...hospital, nursing home, and assisted-care facilities workers...utility people...transportation people, including dispatchers & air-traffic controllers...station/terminal personnel...restaurant & retail workers...wrecker operators...gas station personnel...the professional athletes who entertain us...the TV & radio crews...and especially our military on duty....
...but most of all, JESUS, who made it all!
