Didn’t realize they were still in business. All the paper business have basically went away. At least Athens turned their paper company into a gigantic engineering/medical company. They are supplying the Corona testing kits.
Yea a lot of people thought computers would put them out of business many years ago but they manage to survive somehow. They even added a new warehouse awhile back.
Read the employee's letter today. They are considered a major essential. Was told to open backup. They make different products that law enforcement, hospitals, medical facilities, transportation, and defense industries uses and needs. Smead falls under a critical manufacturing needs. I'll let you take a peak at the new letter they received today, Bolt. I was shocked. No wonder they stay in business. Computers have no hurt to them at all. They are taking extra work cautions inside the plant so that's good for many people I know that work there. I'll fill ya in later.

Smeads has been hiring and will soon be adding on again. About three months ago they said they would be hiring in the area of a hundred from then until the new part is finished. It looks like they have more employees now than when things were going big in the 60s. Don't know about now but in the 60s/70s they supplied Congress.

Just wondering if you live in one county and tested positive in another what county would you be claimed under?

It would count for the county you live in.

Gov. DeSantis just issued a "stay-at-home" order effective at midnight Thursday. Will last 30 days.

Well golly gee whiz....that is pretty much what myself and most of my friends have been doing for the past 3 weeks.

For me, it kinda goes like this....shop for stuff and come home. Which is probably what you guys and gals up there already have been also.

Stay safe folks!!

Well....

New data from IHME (part of U Wash. School of Medicine) shows projection of fatalities in US are down to 81,000-a much lower number than was first reported.

They expect the US to peak around April 16. We just hit 400K positive cases nationwide.

As I type...that 81,000 might've been lowered even further.

Praying everyone up there are well. Old timer is just peachy keen and groovy down here in NW Fla!!!

Starting to get dicey here in the Mahoning Valley. Mahoning Co has 29 dead, Trumbull has 8 and Columbianna Co. has 5. Total of 42. Mahoning leads state in deaths.

I’m still up in the treehouse with the rope pulled up.

Hocking and Vinton are two of 5 counties in the whole state who still don't have a confirmed case, and that's probably from lack of testing. I might add somebody from the Vinton County Bank in Logan supposedly tested positive last week but they must not have lived in Hocking.

Still 2 counties down here out of 67 with 0 cases. Both surround Tallahassee (Leon Co.).

2 positive cases in Scioto County now. I’m sure there are more who haven’t been tested, but those 2 have been confirmed. Stores are now limiting people inside at one time. I see some people taking it serious, and others not. I’m just hoping it will go away soon so we can get some sports going this fall.

From CDC...

They're estimating so far this regular flu season...
1 Oct 2019 thru 28 Mar 2020

39-56 million illnesses
18-26 million medical visits
400-730 thousand hospitalizations
and....29-63 deaths

This is from their website.

That last line if info should read...

Again, these are estimates from CDC.

As of this morning....

Liberty county, here in the panhandle, is the only county in Florida without a positive case.

And now I just jinxed them.
