Didn't take CBS long to axe Angel From Hell. Not enuff Neilsens.

But CBS is now the most-watched net, so they don't hafta wait-n-hope a little-watched show can gain a following.

ABC has cancelled cop show Motive in the USA. However, it'll still be shown on Canadian TV.

Guess the biggest cancellation news is that this'll be the last season of American Idol. its viewership has been sapped by wannabees such as The Voice. However, AI stands as one of the most-successful shows ever, with a 15-year run.

The latest major cancellation is ABC's Of Kings And Prophets, based upon the Books of Samuel in the Bible. It was axed after only two eps, leaving eight eps unaired. This was not a bad show, and while its Neilsens weren't great, a show in this genre needs a chance to develop a viewership. IMO, ABC made a poor decision with their quick axe.

CBS is ending Person Of Interest. The genre of police procedural shows is quite-crowded, so some casualties are to be expected.

Hate to see the end of Mythbusters, one of my faves, but all good things (and shows) must end. While not every ep was great, most were. It had a good 14-year run.

Need to catch up a little on this...I've been negletcful!

The new "Muppets" show, with adult themes, etc. quickly tanked.

Fox had some casualties - "Grandfathered" & "Second Chance". Neither was very good.

NBC had a bunch - "Undateable", "telenovela", "Crowded", "Heartbeat", & "Game of Silence". Those shows were hurriedly made, and the lack of quality showed.

The most notable casualty lately has been "Duck Dynasty"; the family decided to end it Also, TNT ended "Rizzoli And Isles", while CBS' "American Gothic", despite all the hype, quickly bombed & was axed.

There were other shows cancelled on the network-ettes, that I don't have listed here.

Bones and Grimm will not be back, but I think they found this out during the making of these two for this season.

Appears CBS has yanked Doubt off the air after airing only two eps. It's about an attorney who's falling for her client, who's accused of murder.

Given its abysmal Neilsens, especially in the age 18-24 demo, it appears this one's history.
