Here's an easy one even though it goes back a long time. What school did Hubie Bobo play for? Raider6309 will know this one.

Rushing leaders
Athens bulldogs Trae Williams
Chauncey Dover blue devils Hubert Bobo
The Plains Indians Bill Gilkey

Joe Burrow holds every passing record. Also he was on the JV his freshman year
Athens longest win streak is 29 games. Chauncey Dover won 38 straight. Don Eskey won 77 games. Ryan Adams is at 72. Steubenville is our longest trip

This one is for Paladin. Best sports family from Athens. The Green's. Three D1 football players. 1 NFL player. The dad taught English

Right.....up at the old school I saw Ike throw a discus up into the pine trees on the bank. Everyone else was lucky to get it half way over the peewee baseball infield.

Correct. VC played in the Mid-Ohio Valley Conference, which is now defunct, for one year (1966).

Anyone want to guess the conference members in 1966?

who kicked the extra point to beat akron saint Vincent saint Mary's in 79 to seal the win for the ironton fighting tigers. the state championship game was played in akron and the fighting tigers won their 1st state title 7-6. no sense in ironton fans really answering this. because we all know. try to answer without twittering or googling.

one Oak wrote:It's the off season and there isn't much to talk about right now. So let's hear some football trivia for your school. I'd like to hear such things as when did the program start, what is the farthest the team ever traveled for a game, what conferences have they been a member of, longest winning streak, coach with the most wins, anything else that you think would be of interest.

nope tvc, actually the first nfl night game was played in Portsmouth Spartan stadium. the tanks were never in the nfl. a lot of the tanks n Spartans merged together. and that team formed the nfl's Detroit lions.
