Unioto 8th grade is 3-1
Wins over Zane Trace, Jackson, Chillicothe
Lost to Southeastern.

Jackson needs to keep working

Zane Trace is lacking one more solid experienced player from competing at the level of Unioto, Chillicothe, and Southeastern teams.
Trace has some real nice players that allows them to make good runs at certain points in their rotation but not enough depth for an entire set.

Unioto's two middles was able to neutralize the two big middles of Chillicothe.
Preventing any huge momentum swings for Chillicothe.
When Chillicothe's big middles get in a rhythm they have the potential of being unbeatable. I look for both of Chillicothe's Middles to see varsity action next season.

Southeastern has improved greatly from last season.
Has moved some 7th graders up which helps them.
Covers very well and has some talented middle hitters as well.
Not a very deep class of 8th graders, but the ones they have are very good.
They have two 8th graders as well that should see varsity action next season.

Other 8th grade teams of note
Adena- always a solid program

Unioto- probably the deepest 8th grade class as far as talent goes.

PV- has two very talented players, both should be huge contributors on varsity next season for the Bearcats, like Trace they lack a full rotation of experienced volleyball players.

Unioto moves to 4-1
With a three set thriller Over Piketon.
Piketon has some nice talent in both the 9th and 8th grades.
I look for them to make some noise in the SVC in a few years.

Unioto 8th grade 9-3 on season.
Has lost to Adena and Southeastern X2

Unioto lost one of their starting middles/around the horn player to injury.
But look to be bouncing back with an impressive win over Piketon Thursday.

See you Saturday Boo33vb

Chillicothe had a tough 4 day swing losing to Unioto 16-25 and 17-25 on Saturday. The U has a good 8th grade team and are very balanced with talent and the best setter in Maddie Rann that we have faced all season. We then faced a very good Washington CH team for a tie for first place Monday night and came up short in a 3 set battle 16-25, 25-12, 19-25. Tuesday proved to be a redemption match as Miami Trace beat us in 2 at their place earlier in September. We took them at home 25-17, 25-17 and we now stand at 10-5 overall. 9-3 in the SCOL with two matches remaining.

Cavaliers 8th grade finish with a close win at Clinton Massie 25-20 and 25-22 to wrap up the season at 12 and 5. This class has a 28-6 record in middle school and our 7th grade team finished 15-2 and undefeated in the SCOL for first place.I think the 8th grade tied for 2nd place with Miami Trace as we both had 3 losses. Sending the high school program some talent that knows how to win. Keep an eye on 2016, 2017, 2018. Gonna be some great matchups with league rival Washington Court House as they have the best player overall in the league in 8th grader Haithcock kid and an established program. Miami Trace 7th and 8th competed much better this season with the two new coaches and Clinton Massie had a good 8th grade with some very athletic kids and a new coach.

Adena 7th grade won the 7th grade tournament in 3 sets over Unioto. Unioto 7th grade had previously been unbeaten. All 3 matches between the 2 teams this year went 3 sets and down to the wire.
