The attached twitter exchange seems to have been undertaken with no ill intent, but it struck me how easy it would be for players and coaches to put something out into the electronic world that could be harmful to team unity and the program. Even anonymous posts to forums such as this could cause unneeded controversy and disruption, I admit using and understanding social media has passed me by back in the My Space days, but it seems like it would behoove a coaching staff and school administration to limit the use of social media by all associated with a team. What say you ? ?

Re: College Sports and Social Media
Social Media is a double edged sword.. it can help and harm situations. Just gotta try to control which side it falls under.

Exactly! Overall, social media is great for sports. But, then you have some people who have such a big ego that it turns into a bad thing.
