In somewhat of a shocker, Buckeye head football coach had been named as the 2019 Big Ten Media Coach of the Year. The first time since 1979 has the award resided in Columbus. Kirk Ferentz of Iowa seems to be the winner more often than not. Minnesota's PJ Fleck was the COY in the coaches voting.

12-0 and a #1 ranking in your first year. He earned that one. It really could have been a toss-up between him a Fleck though!
