The Buckeyes kicked off their season on Saturday in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the X Count Event, competing against Akron and Nebraska. OSU fired a team score of 4,635. They finished in 3rd out of those 3 teams. Akron (4,651) and Nebraska (4,651) finished 1st and 2nd.

In smallbore, the team was lead by Ariel Hall who shot a 577, and the team shot a 2,301.

In air rifle, the team shot a 2,334. Rhiann Travis led the way with a 589.

Next up, Ohio State will travel to Fairbanks, Alaska, to take on Alaska and defending national champions TCU.

Traveling to Fairbanks, Alaska over the weekend, the Buckeyes faced two more top 10 teams. On Friday, they fell to host Alaska by just 2 points, 4,660-4,658. Leading OSU in smallbore was Ariel Hall who fired a 580. Leading the Buckeyes in the air rifle, was also Ariel Hall, firing a career-best of 596.

On Saturday, the Buckeyes faced TCU and fell 4,714-4,658. Hall led the Buckeyes again in smallbore with a score of 579. Annie Tomb led the way in the air rifle with a 592.

Next up, Ohio State will host #7 Navy next Sunday.

The Buckeyes competed in yet another tight match, this time it was their home opener against #7 Navy. OSU eventually fell on Sunday to the Midshipmen, by a final score of 4,671 - 4,647.

In smallbore, the Buckeyes scored a season-high of 2,307. They were led by a career-best score of 583 from sophomore Ariel Hall.

In air rifle, OSU fired a 2,340. Rhiann Travis and Ariel Hall led the Buckeyes with a 589 each in the event.

For Ohio State, the season marches on, their next match-up is November 2nd when they host Murray State.

Seeking their first victory of the season, this time against #5 Murray State, the Buckeyes ultimately fell to the Racers by just 3 points! Murray State recorded a team score of 4,662 and the Buckeyes scored a team score of 4,659.

Leading the Buckeyes in smallbore was Rhiann Davis with a score of 580. Katie Ezell then lead the Buckeyes in air rifle with a score of 593. The Buckeyes top aggregate finisher was Rhiann Davis with a score of 1,172.

Next up, Ohio State will continue to seek their first victory, when they travel to UTEP next Saturday.

Although the Buckeyes sit at 0-6, they're average aggregate score is still near their average from last season, when they finished #12 in the final rankings.

For the first time this season, the Buckeyes picked up a duel meet victory, taking down #18 UTEP 4,661 - 4,576. Ariel Hall and Annabelle Stanec led the way for OSU, both shooting 1,168 aggregate score. Finishing third for the Buckeyes was Jacob Buchanan with an aggregate of 1,164.

Next up, Ohio State will host Coast Guard on Saturday.

Over the weekend, the Buckeyes picked up their second consecutive victory, this time, defeating visiting Coast Guard 4,629 - 4,570. Rhiann Travis led the way for the Buckeyes, with an aggregate score of 1,160. Although the Buckeyes picked up the victory, this was their lowest team score of the season.

Next up, Ohio State will compete in a duel at Air Force next Saturday.

The Buckeyes were outscored in their final match of the 2019 potion of their schedule, falling to Air Force 4,675 - 4,651. Rhiann Travis led the way for the Buckeyes with a aggregate score of 1,172. Close behind was Ariel Hall with a score of 1,166.

Ohio State will pick competition back up on January 12 when they host Alaska.

OSU will begin the 2020 portion of their schedule on Sunday as the #12 team in the country, as they will host #14 Alaska.

The Buckeyes opened up the second half of their season over the weekend, as they hosted #14 Alaska, and ultimately fell 4,665 - 4,619. Rhiann Travis led OSU in the smallbore action, firing a score of 572. Then in the air rifle, Travis once again led the Buckeyes, with a score of 592. With an aggregate score of 1,164, Travis ended the competition in 4th overall.

Ohio State will be back in action this weekend when they travel to TCU, where they will compete against TCU on Saturday, then against Coast Guard on Sunday.

The Buckeyes competed in a pair of matches over the weekend in Fort Worth, hosted by TCU. Their first match was against #1 TCU where OSU lost 4,724-4,644. Then in their second match of the weekend, they faced #20 Coast Guard, where they shot a season high score, and ultimately picked up a 4,665-4,533 victory.

Next up, Ohio State will host another pair of matches this coming weekend, as they host Air Force and UTEP.

OSU picked up two huge victories over the weekend, defeating #5 Air Force and #19 UTEP. The Buckeyes fired a team score of 4,663, while Air Force shot a 4,655, and UTEP shot a 4,594. Rhiann Travis led the way with an aggregate score of 1,174.

Next up, Ohio State has their final dual of the season, next weekend when they host West Virginia.

The 13th-ranked Buckeyes wrapped up their regular season this past Saturday by hosting #3 West Virginia, and ultimately fell 4,710 - 4,652, despite their second highest home score of the season. Sophomore Ariel Hall once again led the way for OSU, firing an aggregate score of 1,176.

Next up, Ohio State will travel to Fort Worth next weekend, to compete in the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships.

Just as they had hoped, the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships were a success for the Buckeyes, as they traveled to Fort Worth over the weekend, they placed 3rd out of 5 teams with a season high score of 4,669. Defending national champions TCU were crowned conference champs (4,728), followed by Air Force (4,681), OSU, Alaska (4,639), and rounding out the competition was UTEP (4,583).

Ariel Hall led the way for the Buckeyes, earning all-conference recognition in both the smallbore and air rifle competitions. Rhiann Travis and Annabelle Stanec both earned all-conference honors for OSU in the smallbore competition.

Next up, Ohio State will host one of ten different NCAA Qualifiers around the country on Saturday.

Competing in and hosting an NCAA regional qualifier, the Buckeyes season came to an end, after shooting a team score of 4,651.

Although the team's season has ended without a trip to the NCAA Championships, Ariel Hall has qualified for the NCAA Championships in the air rifle competition. She will compete on March 14.
