A season long trip to different stadiums

Post by OHHS old timer »

Guys, ever sit back and wonder about traveling to a different city every week of college football reg season? Well, I've been giving it some thought the past few weeks. Where to start...where to end....where to stay...etc.

Here's a list of stadiums I've been to over the years...

Clemson....LSU...Va Tech..Ga Tech...UVa...Tenn...Auburn
Miami (orange bowl and hard rock stadium)...Gainesville
Ol Miss...BC...and Bichigan.

Where do I start....the Shoe...where do I end....usc/ucla

I'll be at the smurf turf field next yr.

Just thinking out loud. That would be a helluva way to spend a regular season!! Would I do it??? Sure, why not. Just would enjoy a co-pilot along the way.

What do you guys think? All opinions welcome...

Blacksburg is a beautiful place. Their fans are very friendly....they invite you to tailgate with them...they hate you for 3 hours...then they ask you over to a post game party. Just good decent folks...just like Clemson and LSU fans that I've met.

Would love to see that blue field. Thought I read one time where ducks or geese were diving into it thinking it was water.

Don't know about stadiums but I'd like to see a basketball game in Hinkle Field House.

I made the trip to the University of Washington to watch them play Eastern Washington the first game of the year. The stadium is very nice and the view of the lake outside the stadium is picture worthy. One of the stadiums that actually "Watergate' and also tailgate. (I live in Puyallup so it wasn't a huge road trip or anything).

I drove to Boise to take in the Broncos vs the Thundering Herd on the Smurf turf. The stadium isn't very big, but the atmosphere is incredible. I was actually told to stand up by a 75 year old lady that was on her feet and raising hell the entire game. The blue hairs don't ask you to sit down at this stadium and without a pro team to support....they really get behind Boise State.

I will be travelling to Eastern Washington to watch a game on the red field they play on later this season.

I will also be travelling to where ever the Buckeyes are playing in the bowl game(s) and hopefully I have two trips to make.
