The Buckeyes competed in the nation's elite cross country meet of the year on Friday afternoon. They competed at the Nuttycombe Invitational hosted by Wisconsin. The men's team competed in the "B" race. Still a varsity race, but not against the top teams. OSU finished in 4th place with 102 points.

Leading the way for OSU was Luke Landis with a personal best time. Followed closely by Tevin Brown, who also posted a personal best time.

Northern Arizona won the main race by destroying the competition. Then in the "B" competition, Northern Arizona's "B" team won with a total of 57 points, followed by Michigan with 63 points and Notre Dame with 91 points.

Next up is the Big Ten Championships on November 3rd. The Buckeyes will host the conference championships.

On championship Sunday, the Buckeyes really needed to show up to have a chance, but they ended up struggling for the most part. OSU hosted the Big Ten Championships for the first time since 2007, but their home course advantage didn't help them much. The Buckeyes finished in 11th place out of 12 teams with 317 points.

Wisconsin won the team title with 56 points, edging out Indiana (70 points) and Michigan (78 points). Purdue (82 points) and Penn State (169 points) rounded out the top 5 teams.

Leading the way for OSU was Tevin Brown in 49th place, with his personal best time. Luke Landis finished 65th, followed by Gio Copploe in 70th (personal best time). Rounding out the Buckeye top 5 were Peter Hayden (77th) and Mikey Zedan (86th).

Next up, Ohio State will head to the NCAA Regional Championships on November 15th in Madison, Wisconsin.
