The Buckeyes opened up their 2019-20 campaign earlier this week when they traveled to Toledo for the Inverness Inercollegiate Classic. OSU sat in 7th out of 15 teams after the first of two days of competition. Then, when competition ended on Tuesday, the Buckeyes had wrapped up the tournament with a 6th place finish.

Felix Kvanstrom finished in a tie for 4th place, after his +1 score through the competition.

Texas Tech won the team title with a 4-over par through the three rounds of competition. Tennessee, Notre Dame, LSU and Michigan State rounded out the top 5. OSU's final score was a 24-over par, good enough for 6th place.

Next up, Ohio State will travel to North Plains, Oregon, and the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club for the Nike Collegiate Invitational. It will run from Sunday-Tuesday of this coming week.

Playing against many of the top teams in the country proved to be challenging for the Buckeyes, Sunday-Tuesday. OSU finished 15th out of 15 teams, shooting a 3-round 21 over par (873). Oklahoma won the event, proving why they are a top 10 team. They finished with a final score of 29 under par, which was very impressive!

Grant Engle was the top performer for the Buckeyes, as he finished with an even par performance.

Next up, the Buckeyes will host the Jack Nicklaus Invitational next Monday and Tuesday at Muirfield Village in Dublin.

On the second day of play, the Buckeyes faced Florida State and fell to the Seminoles 2-3-1.

Next up, Ohio State will head to the Crooked Stick Invitational next Monday and Tuesday in Carmel, Indiana and hosted by Indiana University.

Kicking off the spring portion of their schedule at the Big Ten Match Play Championship in Palm Coast, Florida, the Buckeyes fared well. OSU ultimately lost their first match of the weekend to Nebraska in a heartbreaking tiebreaker, as the Buckeyes looked to defend their title. Since they lost their first round match, they were no longer in contention to win the weekend championship. In the second match of Friday, the Buckeyes picked up a fairly dominant win over Wisconsin.

In their final match of the weekend on Saturday, OSU crushed Michigan by a final score of 5-1.

Next up, Ohio State will travel to the Puerto Rico Classic which is hosted by Purdue at the Rio Mar Country Club in Rio Mar, Puerto Rico, next Sunday through Tuesday.

After finishing day one of the Puerto Rico Classic in 15th out of 15 teams, the Buckeyes improved on day two. Their day two total was a whopping 15 strokes better than their performance on day one, but that ultimately only moved them up to 14th out of 15 teams. OSU will look to improve on their score again as they wrap up the tournament tomorrow, teeing off at 6:30am.

After the first day of the Colleton River Intercollegiate, the Buckeyes were really struggling to play well at all, as they sat in 14th out of 15 teams. But, day two was a different story, as OSU jumped from 14th all the way up to 10th to finish the tournament. The Buckeye's 10th place finish was a final score of 29-over par. Georgia Southern won the team competition with a 15-under par. The only ranked team in the competition was Notre Dame (#12), who finished in third place.

Individually, Felix Kvarnstrom led the way for OSU with a tied for 15th place finish. John Felitto of Notre Dame won the individual competition.

Next up, Ohio State will travel to Bradenton, Florida to compete at The Concession Golf Club, playing in The Challenge at Concession, which they will serve as hosts for.

OSU finished their two days in Florida on Tuesday by finishing in 5th out of 11 teams, finishing with a final team score of 68-over par. South Florida won the competition with a team score of 35-over par, if that tells you how incredibly difficult the playing conditions were at The Concession. The Buckeyes' top finisher was Jackson Chandler who finished in a tie for third, averaging a score of 74.

Ohio State is now off until April 4-5 when they compete at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
