After a winning record in 2018, and a NCAA Tournament berth that ultimately ended in the first round in an overtime loss to Wake Forest, the Buckeyes will look to continue that success in 2019. They will kick off the season on 8/22 as they host Louisville.

In their season opener against a very good Louisville (1-0) squad, the Buckeyes (0-1) weren't able to pull out victory, as they fell at home, 2-1.

It was Ohio State that jumped out to an early lead, after Marissa Birzon put a loose ball in the box in the back of the net, in just the 18th minute. In the 29th minute, the Cardinals responded to tie the game up, when Brooklynn Rivers fired in an 18-foot rocket to tie the game up at 1-1. Then, the 85th minute of the match is where Louisville scored the game-winner, when Maisie Whitsett, placed her 10-yard shot perfectly inside the post.

Next up, Ohio State will remain home as they host Missouri on Sunday.

With their second game of the season, Ohio State (0-2-0) fell to visiting Missouri (2-0-0) by a final score of 3-1.

The Buckeyes took the lead early in this one, as Kayla Fischer scored on a shot that curled inside the left post. Then the Tigers began an onslaught, scoring three unanswered goals to win the game. One of those coming in the first half, while the other two came in the second half.

Next up, Ohio State will head south for a 4-game trip, kicking it off at UCF on Wednesday.

For the first time this season, the Buckeyes (0-2-1) pulled out a draw, as they played at UCF (0-1-1) to a 1-1 draw. The Golden Knights took the lead early on, scoring from 6 yards out in the 12th minute. The Buckeyes got the tying goal in the 28th minute of play when Marissa Birzon scored with a shot that landed inside the far post. The remainder of the game was a struggle for both teams on the offense, as they ended up tying.

Next up, Ohio State will face a very solid South Florida team as they head to Tampa.
