The Bearcats (18-3, 7-1 American) trailed almost the entire game before grabbing the lead very late and then holding on for the win.
Down double digits almost right off the start, Cincinnati was forced to play catch up, with Temple (15-5, 5-2 Conf) taking a ten point lead into the half.
Jarron Cumberland (Wilmington, OH) led the way with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assist. Tre Scott (Darien, GA) added 13 points and and 6 rebounds. The Bearcats out rebounded the Owls 30-19.
