One of the worse over and back calls of the year, gave Utah State(15-5, 5-2 MW) the ball and former walk on Abel Porter (Farmington, UT) nailed a three pointer, that turned out to be the game winner. New Mexico (9-11, 3-5 Conf) had trailed by 14, before battling back to take the lead.
The winners were led by, Sam Merrill (Bountiful, UT) 22 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assist. Brock Miller (Sandy, Utah) helped out with 16 points and 2 assist. As a team the Aggies connected on 49.1% of their shots and they won the battle of the boards, 27-22.

For the Lobos, Carlton Bragg (Cleveland, OH) led the way with 18 points and 6 boards. Scoring 16 points was Anthony Mathis (West Linn, OR) He made 6-10 from the field.
