Jill Rizzo earned the win in goal with 6 saves. Not only that, but she surpassed the 500 career saves mark in her career on the day.

It was a rough go of it for the Buckeyes (8-5; 0-3) on Thursday night in University Park, as they fell to Penn State (5-6; 1-3) by a final score of 21-5. The first half outburst for the Nittany Lions was too much for OSU to overcome, as PSU carried a 14-2 lead into the halftime break. The Buckeyes put together a decent second half, but were outscored in that half again, this time 7-3. Lindsay Epstein led the way for OSU with 2 goals. Jill Rizzo took the loss in goal, and still tallied 15 saves.

Leading the way for Penn State was Maria Auth with 6 goals and 3 assists.

Although the Buckeyes remain unranked in this week's set of rankings, they have a chance to make some noise. As they have a very winnable road game on Tuesday against Louisville, and then a ranked Johns Hopkins squad coming to Columbus on Saturday.

After 3 consecutive losses, the Buckeyes needed a win more than anything, and that's what they got on the road on Saturday, as they defeated Rutgers 11-7. Taralyn Naslonski led the way for the Knights with 3 points (1 goal and 2 assists).

Goalkeeper Line:
Win - Jill Rizzo (9-7) - 10 Saves
Loss - Kameron Halsall (2-8) - 4 saves

The Buckeyes closed out their season on Thursday, as they hosted and fell to #5 Northwestern, 17-12, in a game where they battled but ultimately came up short against one of the best teams in the nation. They trailed by just 3 goals at the half, but the Wildcats were able to tally two more on top of that lead in the second half. Leading the way for OSU was Baley Parrott with 5 goals. For Northwestern, Selena Lasota tallied 6 goals.

Goalkeeper Line:
Win: Mallory Weisse (3-1) - 10 saves
Loss: Jill Rizzo (9-8) - 10 saves

By not finishing as one of the top 4 teams in the conference, that ends the Buckeye's season.
