OSU is rolling in conference play this season, as they went on the road on Friday night at Northwestern and picked up a 6-1 victory. The Buckeyes cruised a sweep and 3 victories in doubles play. Then another near sweep in singles play, only losing at #6 singles.

In their final road match of the regular season, it was a big one, as the Buckeyes picked up a conference win over #14 Illinois, 4-2 on Sunday. It was a battle of what many thought are the top two teams in the conference, and it definitely didn't disappoint. That was the first conference loss of the season for the Illini, breaking the tie atop the conference standings. The conference title has gone to either Ohio State or Illinois every year since 1997, so you could say this was a much anticipated matchup.

At #2 and #3 doubles, the Buckeyes received the assistance they needed, as they clinched both points. Then, the top of the lineup did what they do best in singles...win. #1 nationally ranked JJ Wolf provided the win at #1 singles, while John McNally scored another point for OSU at #2 singles. Illinois claimed victories at #3 and #6 singles, but it wasn't enough, as Kyle Seelig won his match at #4 singles for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State will wrap up its regular season next weekend at home, as they host Purdue on Friday and Indiana on Sunday.

OSU picked up a complete sweep for the first time in a few months, as they defeated Purdue at home 7-0. In fact, it wasn't even close, as the Buckeyes won every single individual match 2-0.

Next up is the final match of the regular season as Ohio State will host Indiana on senior day on Sunday.

Playing on senior day against a very good Indiana team, the Buckeyes picked up a second consecutive 7-0 victory on Sunday. They cruised in nearly every individual match on the day. With that win OSU has claimed the regular season conference title for the 14th consecutive season, and it was their fourth consecutive season finishing undefeated in conference play.

For Ohio State, they received a first round bye in the Big Ten Tournament as the #1 seed, and they will play the winner of the #8 Minnesota vs. #9 Wisconsin match. They will play that match on Friday at 10am.

For the 4th consecutive year, the Buckeyes have won the Big Ten Tournament. In the quarterfinals, they defeated a solid receiving votes (#38) Minnesota team, 4-1. Then in the semifinals, the Buckeyes kept rolling, as it was closer than they would have liked, but ultimately defeated #22 Michigan by a final score of 4-2. Then in the championship match on Sunday, they defeated #15 Illinois by a final score of 4-1.

OSU will now wait to see their seed for the NCAA Tournament and regionals (announced this week). Where they will likely receive the #1 overall seed.

As expected, Ohio State received the #1 overall seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament! They will host a regional site that is made up of themselves, Cleveland State, #25 Notre Dame and #34 Vanderbilt. The Buckeyes first round match will be against Cleveland State. They are 2-0 against the Vikings so far this season, defeating them in their first two matches of the season back in January (5-0 and 4-0). Should the Buckeyes win that match they will advance to play the winner of Notre Dame vs. Vanderbilt. Their first round match will be this Friday, and the second round match would be on Saturday.

The Buckeyes earned a second consecutive dominant shutout in the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, as they defeated Vanderbilt 4-0 in the second round. The doubles point went the way of OSU, when #3 doubles was the first match finished, then the only singles matches to score to make it a shutout were at #1, #4 and #6.

Next up, Ohio State advances to the Super Regional, where they will host #16 Columbia next Saturday. The winner of that match will head to the national tournament in Orlando.

It will only get tougher from here on out, as next up is the NCAA Quarterfinals, where they will play #10 (9th seed) North Carolina on Thursday at 5pm in Orlando.

It didn't end the way that many predicted, as the #1 overall seed Buckeyes fell in the NCAA Quarterfinals to #10 North Carolina on Thursday evening, by a final score of 4-2. OSU picked up a victory in #1 doubles, as well as #1 singles and #3 singles, but the rest was all Tar Heels.

This ends yet another successful season for Ohio State, but ending it without a championship ring! They'll still have some chances down in Florida as the Buckeyes have some singles and doubles matches to go at the national championships. As far as the team goes, that closes the book on their season.

JJ Wolf entered Wednesday as the only Buckeyes left (men's or women; singles or doubles) in the NCAA Tournament. The first set of the day against Sam Riffice, he came out strong winning 6-3. But it was all Riffice after that, as the put Wolf (#2 overall seed) on his heels and won the next two sets 6-3 and 6-2 to advance to the quarterfinals and eliminate JJ Wolf from the competition.
