Re: Gasparilla Bowl: Marshall vs. South Florida
This will be Thursday's game. I think this one will be a toss-up. Marshall averaging 30 points, and giving up 22. South Florida averaging 31 and giving up 30 each time out.
I'll give South Florida the edge in this one because of the level of talent they have played against. But, would love to see Marshall take it.

Although I'm taking USF in this one, Marshall could very easily win. USF has lost 5 straight games since their 7-0 start.

Agreed that the C-USA is a cut or two below the quality level of the AAC. USF should be favored but would love to see Marshall win.Chieftain2009 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 1:34 am This will be Thursday's game. I think this one will be a toss-up. Congratulations to the Thundering Heard on the win, great way to end the season.

Nine win season for Marshall. Coach Holliday has developed a consistent winning program at Marshall. They are competitive within the C-USA and are I believe are now 6-0 in bowl games under Holliday. While they never will be able to consistently compete with the best G5 or better P5 programs, it is a shame that Marshall receives little fan or media support outside of Huntington.

great game by marshall. especially the oline and the running game. ole pepe pearson is the marshall running back coach and he has them stylin n profiling. and marshall has an awesome offensive line. and they were just blowing the bulls off the ball. and then the defense had a great effort as well. very solid legit team. and even sweeter was it was right in the bulls back yard. at Raymond james stadium where the bucs play.

Minford's Cain Madden had a heck of a game for the Thundering Herd last night.

I believe that Cain is a redshirt freshman that was just put on scholly this season. The future looks good for him.
