Georgia is so good that an overrated Texas team was the best matchup they could find?

Florida - Michigan is the only one I see they did correctly outside the playoff teams. Most the others with Top 20 teams involved make no sense if they really want to match the best teams in the best conferences.

Big game for Texas to get recruits. Georgia do they come out and play like Auburn did last year against UCF? Georgia should win by at least 2 TD's. Texas can score and needs to take chances. Get some scores on special teams and defense. They do have size in the WR position. They need some luck and Georgia to make a mistake like the dumb fake punt play.

This is a huge mismatch on paper. Georgia seems to be the far superior team. Texas is scoring 37 per game and giving up 26. Georgia is scoring 39 each time and giving up 18.

Texas already up 10-0 and looking to score again. They are inside the 5.

They were never a top team anyways. Just another SEC team that kept being propped up in the rankings.

Georgia marches right down to cut it to 14 at 28-14 with 10:25 to play

So we can say the same thing about Notre Dame, Oklahoma, OSU, Michigan, UCF, Florida and Washington, (The rest of the final top 10 done playing) also. The Big-10 West held up well against lesser ranked teams or the conference bowl season would be in shambles.Bleeding Red wrote: ↑Tue Jan 01, 2019 11:30 pmThey were never a top team anyways. So much for mighty Georgia of the SEC being playoff worthy.

Just another example of how ESPN pushed hard for Georgia due to its financial gain.
Texas totally controlled the entire game start to finish.
I wonder if the committee and pollsters are thinking of ways to keep Georgia in the top 5 right now?
