The Buckeyes (18-10; 8-9) just steamrolled to a 90-70 victory over #22 Iowa (21-7; 10-7) on Tuesday night. In what was a huge victory for OSU, it was a very tight game at the half, as they only lead by 3, but ultimately blew the game wide open in the second half for the 20 point victory. Justin Ahrens had a career best game where he led all scorers with 29 points. Kaleb Wesson also added a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Leading the way for the Hawkeyes was Joe Wieskamp with 17 points.

Ohio State has another huge game up next, as they travel to #14 Purdue on Saturday.

It was a rough outing for the Buckeyes (18-11; 8-10) on Saturday, as they traveled to #14 Purdue (22-7; 15-3) and fell to the Boilermakers 86-51. It was essentially a blowout from the get-go. As Purdue took a 48-20 lead into the halftime break, and ultimately extending that lead in the second for a 35 point win. Jaedon LaDee led the way for the Buckeyes with a solid game of 16 points (the only OSU player in double figures).

Carsen Edwards, as usual, led the way for Purdue with 25 points.

The upcoming week is the final two games of the regular season for Ohio State, as they kick it off by traveling to Northwestern on Wednesday.

Ohio State (18-12; 8-11) are really starting to struggle at the wrong time in the season, as they dropped a road contest to a poor Northwestern (13-16; 4-15) squad on Wednesday night, 68-50. Unfortunately for OSU, this was never really much of a game, as they trailed by 11 at the half, and ultimately fell by 18. Leading the Buckeyes in the loss was Keyshawn Woods with 15 points and 7 rebounds. A big problem in this one was the Buckeyes were without Kaleb Wesson.

Leading the Wildcats to victory was Dererk Pardon with a big double double of 20 points and 13 rebounds.

Next up, Ohio State will wrap up their regular season tomorrow as they host Wisconsin. This is a must win for the Buckeyes.

So close! That's all the Buckeyes (18-13; 8-12) can say after senior day, as they fell to #21 Wisconsin (22-9; 14-6) on Sunday, 73-67 in overtime. The Badgers took a 26-16 lead into halftime. But, OSU used a 47-37 advantage in the second half to send the game into overtime. In the OT period, Wisconsin showed their strength and claimed the victory in Columbus. CJ Jackson had a big game for the Buckeyes with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Khalil Iverson led the way for Wisconsin with a 22 point and 14 rebound double-double. Ethan Happ also added a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Ohio State has earned the #8 seed in the B1G Tournament and will play #9 seed Indiana at 12:30pm on Thursday.

In the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament, the Buckeyes fell to the top seed in the tournament, Michigan State, by a final score of 77-70. The Spartans led the game by 6 at the half, and ultimately increased their lead by 1 when it was all said and done. Leading the way for OSU was Keyshawn Woods with 16 points. Also scoring in double digits was Andre Wesson with 14 points.

Leading the way for Michigan State was Cassius Winston with 18 points.

The fate of Ohio State's season is now up in the balance. They didn't finish the season ranked, and didn't win their conference tournament. They will find out whether they earn an at-large seed to the NCAA Tournament on Sunday. If not, they have a chance of making the NIT.

I know that a NCAA bid is important for recruiting and building confidence going forward, but I feel this Buckeye squad would be better served staying home.

The Buckeyes (20-14) season will continue on, as they upset Big 12 Champion Iowa State (23-12) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament 62-59. OSU led for the majority of the game, and it was extremely tight the whole game as well. But, the Buckeyes defense played extremely well, and they hit their free throws enough at the end to hang on for the victory.

Kaleb Wesson produced a monster game for the Buckeyes, with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Keyshawn Woods followed that up with 19 points.

Leading the Cyclones was Marial Shayok with 23 points.

Next up, Ohio State will play 3rd-seeded Houston on Sunday at 8:40pm for a chance to head to the Sweet 16.

Buckeyes get a transfer from U of California. He was the leading scorer for California this year. I think he 6'6", he will have to sit out this coming season, then will have 2 years of eligibility left.

Not a big deal, but I guess he's really a little over 6'7", his name is Justice Sueing, and I guess he can play about anywhere on the floor.

Just for information, OSU asst coach Scoonie Penn is moving on to the NBA as an assistant with the Memphis Grizzlies. Penn was a fan favorite in his OSU playing days
and was considered instrumental in Chris Holtmanns strong recruiting classes.

Hate to see that! But it was probably only a matter of time. From everything I've heard he did great things as the player development coach for OSU.
