Wrapping up the B1G Championships on Saturday, the Buckeyes finished in 3rd place, the same place they were sitting in after every day of competition, with 1,243.5 points. Indiana claimed the conference championship with 1,705 points, followed by Michigan in second with 1,464 points. Kicking off the final day was the 1650 free where two Buckeyes placed, leading the way was Nick Hogsed with an 11th place finish.

In the 200 back, OSU really struggled, earning just one point when Colin McDermott finished in 24th place.

The Buckeyes really shined in the 100 free, where five swimmers placed, and leading the way was none other than Andrew Loy with a 3rd place finish.

The 200 breast was another solid race, as four Buckeyes scored, and Paul DeLakis finished in 4th place.

OSU really shined in the platform dive as well, when five Buckeyes hit the scoring books. Three of them placed in the top 10, and Aaron Daniels-Freeman finished in 6th.

Rounding out the competition, the 400 free relay team finished as conference runner-up.

Ohio State will compete in one last regular season event next Sunday when they travel to a last chance qualifier meet.

After day 2 of the national championships ended yesterday, the Buckeyes are sitting in a really good spot. On the first day, the 800 Free Relay team finished in 10th place, good enough for an Honorable Mention All-America status, and their highest finish in the event since 2011.

The second day was the first full day of competition, after Wednesday was just the 800 free relay. The Buckeyes finished with a 7th place finish in the 200 Free Relay. Andrew Loy yet again scored points for the team in the 200 IM, finishing in 14th place.

Competition will get underway again today in the third day. Events will be the 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Breast, 100 Back, 200 Medley Relay and the 3-Meter Dive.
