COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland has made an immediate impact in the Big Ten in its first three seasons as part of the conference, winning a league-best 25 regular season and tournament titles over that span.

In its inaugural year (2014-15), Maryland won seven regular season and conference titles, then added nine more during the 2015-16 season.

The Terps' won another nine titles during the 2016-17 season, sweeping the regular season and postseason titles in four sports (men's soccer, women's basketball, women's lacrosse & men's lacrosse) while the field hockey team earned the 2016 regular season crown.

Most recently, Maryland's men's and women's lacrosse programs both won NCAA Championships, becoming just the third school to capture both titles in the same year. The men's national title was the first for the Big Ten since the conference sponsored the sport beginning in 2014-15.

Maryland has earned eight coach of the year honors (Missy Meharg, field hockey - twice, Brenda Frese, women's basketball, Mark Turgeon, men's basketball and Cathy Reese, women's lacrosse – twice, Sasho Cirovski – men's soccer, John Tillman, men's lacrosse) since joining the conference.

And don't look in your rearview mirror, but with the way coach DJ Durkin is quietly putting together solid recruiting classes, the Terps may challenge for football titles in the not to distant future.
