Maine 4 Stonybrook 3(Softball)

Stonybrook((9-19)) jumped out to a 3-0 lead but could not hold t as they lost 4-3.
Ileana Torres(Debary, Fla. University High School) blasted a three run bomb in the first inning to make this a 3-0 game. This was her first long ball of the season.

The game stayed 3-0 until the fifth inning when,Alyssa Derrick(Coventry, RI Conventry High School)singled to left field to drive in a run,to make this a 3-1 game. Maine added two more runs in the inning to lock this one up at three. Driving in the 2nd run of the inning was,Meghan Royle(Colts Neck, NJ Biotechnology HS) with an infield single to third. The game was tied up on a Maddie Decker(Jamison, PA Central Bucks)base hit that trickled into right field.

Maine(10-18) got the game winning hit hit in the bottom of the seventh, from
Faythe Goins (Elgin, SC Hammond)on a hard shot to right field.
