Playing in front of the largest crowd at Maestri Field at First NBC Ballpark since the facility was rebuilt in 2014, the University of New Orleans defeated #3 LSU 11-8 last night.

With the Win New Orleans moves to 4-0 on the season and this is the first time they have achieved this since the 1999 season.

LSU lead 6-1 heading into the bottom of the fifth, the Privateers went off for six run to take a 7-6 lead after five.

Tristan Clarke/Brampton, Ontario Fletchers Meadow Secondary(1) hit his first bomb of the season for the winners. He went 2-5 on the day, with 1RBI.Orynn Veillon/Lafayette, Louisiana St. Thomas More HS, went 3-5, with 2RBI.Owen Magee/Metairie, Louisiana Brother Martin HS had a nice day going 2-4, with 4RBI. William Griffin/ (1-0)Kennesaw, Georgia Kennesaw Mountain HS picked up the win out of the pen.

For LSU(3-1) they got three home runs on the day but it was not enough to overcome the hard hitting Privateers. Kramer Robertson/McGregor, Texas (Midway HS) ,Bryce Adams/Baton Rouge, La. (Delgado CC) (Dunham School) and Brennan Breaux/Scott, La. (St. Thomas More HS) all blasted their first home runs of the season.
