Freshman Madi Huck 4-5(Delaware, Ohio Delaware Hayes) threw seven scoreless innings and junior Holley Speers(Surrey, B.C. Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary School) doubled in the top of the eighth inning to bring home the only run of the game, as Kent State defeated No. 2 Ohio, 1-0.

The Ohio Offense has been in a coma like state during the MAC tourney and this time even with their great pitcher, Savannah Jo Dorsey/Grove City,Ohio/ Central Crossing High School. Dorsey had gone 29 innings in the tourney without giving up a run.

I watched this one on ESPN3.

Yup, 3-0. So, unlikely OU will qualify for the NCAA tournament, but still a possibility.

Correction: The Bobcats season is not actually over, although they did not make the field in the NCAA Tournament, they were selected for the Postseason NSIC tournament. They will receive a first round bye and will play their first game tomorrow against the winner of Iona and Campbell at 4pm in Lynchburg, VA as the regional they are in is hosted by Liberty University.

In the second round of the NSIC Postseason tournament, the Bobcats lost to host Liberty 3-0. Which means, OU will move into the loser's bracket, still with a chance to make it out of the regional. They will play UNC Wilmington on Thursday.

After falling to Liberty on Wednesday, the Bobcats came back to earn a 1-0 victory over UNC Wilmington to keep their season alive. Then in the afternoon session, playing with their backs against the wall, they defeated host Liberty in an extended contest in 12 innings, 1-0. Then, the nightcap, winner take all regional championship game, OU's season came to an end as they fell to top seed Liberty in a thriller, 4-3.

Great season for OU as they racked up over 40 wins.
