Playing at home, Northern Iowa(11-12, 6-6 Conf) was able to overcome a late Indiana State(8-16, 2-10 Conf) lead to escape with the five point win.Northern Iowa lost the battle of the boards 43-29,lost the three pointing shooting 33.3%,28.6% but still posted the win. Leading the way in the win was,Bennett Koch(Ashwaubenon, WI) with 14 points. He added 3 blocks to his tally sheet.

For the Indiana State Sycamores it was another case of not closing a game out and the result was another bitter defeat. The leading scorer in defeat was,Brenton Scott(Fort Wayne, Ind)with 16 points. He was only 5-15 from the field.
