Lamar(13-9, 5-4 Conf)came in off of a overtime loss to Texas A&M-CC, while Northwestern State(9-10, 3-5 Conf) came in riding a two game winning streak. The Cardinals flew out to a 17 point first half lead and never really received much of a challenge from the Demons.

For the game Lamar hit 33-60 55% from the field and out rebounded the Demons 39-21.
Leading the winning Cardinals in scoring with 18 each was,Colton Weisbrod(Nederland, TX) and Nick Garth(Houston, TX) Garth came off of the bench to get his points. Helping the cause with 17 points was,Josh Nzeakor(Mesquite, TX).Nzeakor hit 8-10 from the field. He also led the team with 9 boards.

For the Demons it was a case of never really getting settled in as the slow start shows. The leading scorer in this one for the Demons was,Sabri Thompson(Newark, Delaware) with 16 points.Ishmael Lane(Port Allen, LA) had 6 boards to lead the team in that category.
