Minnesota hit their first 8 shots(I believe) and jumped out to a double digit lead, only to see Purdue come back not only to tie it, but take the lead. Te Gophers built another double lead, only to see the process repeat itself.
Purdue tied it up at 73, with 4.9 left. Minnesota just missed a game winner at the buzzard.
Jordan Murphy(SAN ANTONIO, TX) had 16 for Minnesota before fouling out late in regulation. Another Gopher,Bakary Konate(Bamako, Mali) fouled out in regulation He was scoreless but did have 3 rebounds.
Minnesota minus both of their top big men dominated the overtime session. First time since 2005 Minnesota won at Purdue.
Leading the Gophers with a career high 31 was Nate Mason(Decatur, GA) 18 above his season average.
For Purdue leading the way with 28 was Caleb Swanigan(Fort Wayne, Ind) He also grabbed 22 rebounds.
