BUT WITH THE LIKES OF PJ FLECK, CHARLIE STRONG, LES MILES AND THE LIKE OUT THERE, KINDA SEEMS WIERD. THE AD SAID THE 1ST THING HE WANTS IS A TOP NOTCH NEW D-COORDINATOR. I THINK THIS IS WHERE BRADY HOKE WAS AFTER THE MICHIGAN JOB.

It's not a bad hire by Oregon. He did a very good job down at South Florida, and they just wanted a fresh face in there.

As far as Brady Hoke, he did a dreadful job as the d-coordinator. Couldn't stop a junior high team.

The way coaching jobs are filled is like picking a QB for the NFL. A lot of unknown from a short period of time. Coaches need 5 years or more to get a better understanding of their first recruits and a few more years. So the players before he got there and the players he picked. So the new wears off the program. Oregon played well but that may have been masked by an elite collge QB. Then the QB mess after Mariota. Waiting on a transfer to pass a test to play. That just didn't work out. Seemed to go down hill from there.

Taggert will have to prove how he can handle a big time program with Nike backing. As well as recruit on the west coast which is new to him. Sure depends on how he builds a staff.
